How We Fatten Our Clients’ Wallets On Repeat
***NEWS FLASH*** Facebook Ads Don’t Work.
Picture this. Yesterday, I called a local fencing contractor about his ads.
Do you know what he said?
”Facebook ads don’t work.”
Well, I couldn’t tell him this outright. But the reason his ad wasn’t working is even though he’s a fencing contractor… his ad featured a photo of a back garden, without a fence in sight! No text. Vague as can be.
I’d happily bet my hat if a thousand people saw this ad, exactly zero would inquire.
The lesson? Facebook ads don’t work… when you get the presentation wrong. Here’s the kicker:
Facebook Ads Deliver When You Nail the Presentation.
You have to make people want to read your ad right from the get go.
That’s the first job of any creative image. Grab attention and build curiosity.
Here’s how…
1. Make It Bold
Your image must grab attention. Do this through color, or use a relevant signal of an opportunity or a threat.
These things capture our brains’ attention. Evolution hardwired us that way.
2. Add a short headline.
5-16 words max. Make sure the headline causes curiosity. Here’s an example I mocked up for a real estate agency:
You’d be surprised how many creatives lack a headline.
3. Include your offer
See the offer in the above example?
“Or… we pay you 1 month’s rent for the trouble”
If you guarantee your services, or you offer a ‘free trial day’ — make sure you call it out!
(We’ve added £12k of yearly repeat revenue for one of our clients with the second offer in only 67 days).
Otherwise who cares? Imagine, I took out the offer:
We Help You Rent Your Apartments To Tenants
… That’s still better than most real estate ads, but loses against the ad with an offer every single time. Guaranteed.
What’s next?
Try this out and watch your return on ad spend grow.
Bonus tip: If you run a “free offer” like a consult, and you find yourself with hundreds of leads and not enough time in the day to follow up with all the time wasters... Convert your offer into a paid consultation.
Depending on your market and the demand... You could charge anywhere from £25-150+ for a quality consultation.
That'll put some money in your pocket and set you up with people who are qualified for your services. No more Freddie Freeloaders.
